VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Body Massage

This course is designed for qualified fitness professionals, sports coaches, paramedics and others who have a qualification in anatomy and physiology and who are seeking to widen their specialist skills as sports & or holistic or beauty therapists.

Course Aim: To train students to a professionally competent level in order to carry out a comprehensive range of Swedish massage techniques. Please note Candidates are required to have two people for their Practical Assessment. This will be discussed and agreed with you during the class delivery

Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage of 3 Mandatory Units
Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
Provide body massage
Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
The above modules will also include one external assessment theory paper during the course delivery and you will be required to have 2 clients for your practical assessment which will be scheduled after the course delivery. Dates for the Practical assessment will be agreed and discussed with you. There is a multiple choice theory paper which is externally set for the massage unit.

General Theory:

Therapeutic benefits of massage, structure and functions of the skin, lymphatic system and contra-indications.

Practical Skills:

Client consultation, Swedish massage techniques and after-care advice.

Business Administration:

Codes of practice, planning and marketing plus health and safety.
